Signs with Nice through 2029
Hein signed with Nice through June 2029 after departing Metz, the club announced.
Analysis: Hein came through Metz's academy before spells at Tours, Valenciennes and Auxerre, eventually returning to his training club, where he closed out last season with eight goals and eight assists across 31 appearances in all competitions and served as captain for part of the campaign. The 29-year-old midfielder has established himself as one of the more consistent attacking players in French football, with 267 professional league appearances to his name, including 80 in Ligue 1 and 187 in Ligue 2. His creativity and work rate are expected to add depth and experience to Nice's attack.

Analysis: Hein ended the season in excellent individual form, recording eight goals and seven assists in 29 matches.
