Not an option Saturday
Nkunku (adductor) is not in the squad for Saturday's match against Elversberg.
Analysis: Nkunku is not ready to feature after an adductor injury forced him to miss Friday's training session. His absence costs Leipzig an attacker who has recorded four goals and one assist across six Bundesliga appearances, including four starts. Tidiam Gomis or Romulo could replace him, depending on how Leipzig adjust their forward and attacking midfield positions. The length of his absence remains unclear.
Missing training, questionable Saturday
Nkunku is questionable for Saturday's match against Elversberg due to an adductor injury, according to his club.
Analysis: Nkunku was not in training Friday as some questions arose about the attacker's fitness, potentially set to miss time after suffering an adductor injury. With four goals and one assist in six league appearances (four starts), this could be a major loss for the attack of Leipzig. He has started between forward and CAM this season, leaving Tidiam Gomis or Romulo to start if he misses out or is not fit enough to start.
