Lucas Tousart
B29
Scores in win
Tousart scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and two chances created in Saturday's 5-1 victory against Angers.
Analysis: Tousart timed his run perfectly to meet Joris Chotard's corner delivery with a powerful header to make it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Deployed as a center back, his attacking contribution from set pieces is a clear asset, with four headed shots and a big chance created this season highlighting his threat from dead ball situations. His nine defensive contributions on the night also reflect his defensive workload, though Brest have yet to keep a clean sheet this season making his next fixture against Lille, who sit second, a difficult opportunity to change that.
Shifting to reserve role
Tousart has come off the bench in Brest's last four Ligue 1 matches after starting the season opener against Le Mans.
Analysis: Tousart played the full 90 minutes as a center-back on opening day but has totaled just 46 minutes across his four appearances since. That leaves him with 136 minutes in five league matches and no goals or assists. He remains behind in the midfield hierarchy but could cover the central defense with Brendan Chardonnet (calf) and Raphael Le Guen (undisclosed) both dealing with issues.
Scores in 3-3 stalemate
Tousart scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Friday's 3-3 draw versus Lens.
Analysis: Tousart scored the team's second goal in the match which was his first in the league campaign. The 28-year-old scored with his only shot on goal. Tousart registered a block as well.
