Steady presence in starting lineup
Makengo has started every game for Lorient so far in the 2026/27 season, notching one goal and one assist.
Analysis: The midfielder has played the full 90 in four of his six starts, and he's been both a creative spark and combative presence in the middle of the park for Lorient. He's averaging 1.5 shots, 0.7 chances, 1.2 tackles, 1.2 clearances and 3.0 fouls drawn per game.
Scores in loss
Makengo scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 2-1 loss against Troyes.
Analysis: Makengo provided Lorient's only moment of quality going forward, driving a shot from outside the box across goal to the right side that caught a deflection on its way in. However, his performance was overshadowed by the penalty he conceded, which proved costly in a one-goal defeat. His next fixture against Lens, who sit seventh in the standings, will be an opportunity to contribute more consistently as Lorient look to find their footing in Ligue 1.
