Leads DR Congo to victory
Wissa scored and provided an assist in DR Congo's 2-1 AFCON qualifying win over Zimbabwe on Monday, playing 84 minutes, according to the club.
Analysis: Wissa delivered another productive international performance, opening the scoring before setting up Samuel Moutoussamy for DR Congo's second goal. The forward has now scored in consecutive qualifiers after also finding the net in the 2-0 win over Equatorial Guinea. His strong international form follows a prominent start to the season with Newcastle United, where he has started all five Premier League matches and recorded one goal and one assist while operating across multiple attacking roles.
Holds prominent attacking role
Wissa has started all five Premier League matches this season, operating either as a center-forward or in attacking midfield.
Analysis: Wissa has established himself as a regular starter across multiple attacking roles, recording one goal and one assist through five league appearances. He has attempted nine shots and created four chances, though he missed a penalty in his most recent outing. Despite that miss, his ability to operate both through the middle and behind the striker should keep him heavily involved in the attack.
