Florian Sotoca
LEN
Scores in win
Sotoca scored one goal to go with four shots (two on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Friday's 2-1 win versus Lyon.
Analysis: Sotoca was able to make the most of his chances, putting half of his shots on target and finding a goal. He will likely need more volume to get past Sporting CP on Tuesday in UEL play as the team has only conceded nine goals in eight domestic league matches.
Limited to brief appearances
Sotoca has made two substitute appearances across Lens' first five Ligue 1 matches without earning a start under previous coach Dino Toppmoller.
Analysis: Sotoca has played just 21 league minutes and has yet to record a goal or assist. He remains an option off the bench as Lens has given more playing time to other attackers in the opening weeks. That said, with new coach Yannick Cahuzac taking place, he might see more playing time after the international break.
Scores off bench
Sotoca scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Sunday's 4-0 win over Lyon.
Analysis: Sunday marked the first and only time this season in which Sotoca scored a goal. He has been limited for much of the campaign, with his 26 appearances including fewer than four starts. The diminished role is not so surprising considering how futile Sotoca's efforts were last season, but his reduced impact this year is still uninspiring nonetheless.
