Assists in win
Magnetti assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), one cross (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 5-1 win against Angers.
Analysis: Magnetti delivered the opening goal of the match with a precise cross that Ludovic Ajorque headed home in the ninth minute, setting the tone for a dominant Brest performance. His 92.4 pass percentage and 21 line-breaking passes across five matches this season reflect his importance as the engine of Brest's midfield, and his two assists highlight a creative output that goes beyond his defensive responsibilities. His next fixture against Lille, who sit second, will be a significant test but one where his consistency in possession makes him a reliable presence regardless of the opposition.
Signs contract extension through 2029
Magnetti signed a contract extension with Brest through 2029, according to the club.
Analysis: Magnetti made 33 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring one goal with one assist across 2,697 minutes, and continues to serve as the club's vice captain since arriving in 2017. He also holds the distinction of scoring Brest's first ever Champions League goal, and his new deal reflects the club's confidence in his continued leadership as he keeps building on a lengthy tenure with the team.
