Hassane Kamara
Fizzy again in Lazio game
Kamara registered three shots (two on goal), one interception and five crosses (two accurate) and won three of four tackles in Monday's 2-1 loss versus Lazio.
Analysis: Kamara couldn't contribute to the goal after doing so in the first two rounds, but he had another quality display, pacing his team in both attempts and deliveries. He has notched three or more crosses, amassing 11 (two accurate), and at least one shot, racking up seven (five on target), in the first three games, scoring twice and assisting once. Moreover, this marked his third display in a row with multiple tackles, for a total of nine (seven won).
Scores, assists against Monza
Kamara scored one goal and assisted once from one shot and one chance created in Saturday's 3-2 victory versus Monza.
Analysis: Kamara was instrumental for his team to extend a positive run, pulling a ball back for Jakub Piotrowski to score in the 32nd minute and adding a distance strike that restored the lead in the 45th minute. The midfielder, who has been deployed in a wide spot, is now his side's best offensive contributor with two goals and one assist over two full matches played this season. That form should allow him to retain a starting job in future fixtures.
Scores versus Como
Kamara scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal), three tackles (two won) and three crosses (zero accurate) in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Como.
Analysis: Kamara was energetic on both ends and broke the deadlock with a lovely dink over the goalie after escaping behind the defense on a timely through ball. He didn't score last season and has done so just three times entering his fourth season in Serie A. His main competitor, Jordan Zemura, has left the team, and he's way ahead of his deputy, Juan Arizala.
Suspended for Napoli tilt
Kamara had seven crosses (one accurate), one key pass and three clearances and was booked for the fifth time in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Cremonese.
Analysis: Kamara had good volume but not much precision in this one. He will skip the season finale because of yellow-card accumulation. Kingsley Ehizibue will be back from suspension in the next game, allowing Juan Arizala and Jordan Zemura to move to the left wing. Kamara finishes up with two assists, 23 chances created and 82 crosses (17 accurate) in 26 appearances (22 starts) and was the go-to-guy in his role when healthy.
Sets up teammate in Cagliari bout
Kamara assisted once to go with two tackles (two won), two clearances and one chance created in Saturday's 2-0 win versus Cagliari.
Analysis: Kamara dished out a great helper on one of his few offensive forays, escaping his direct opponent with a back-door cut and teeing up Adam Buksa with a low-driven cross from the baseline. It's his second assist of the season. He has created at least one chance in six consecutive matches, piling up nine key passes and adding six tackles (all won) and three interceptions during that stretch. Furthermore, this marked his third straight match with multiple clearances (seven total). On the other hand, he snapped a seven-game streak with multiple crosses.
Could see more usage
Kamara registered five crosses (two accurate) and one chance created in Monday's 3-3 draw versus Lazio.
Analysis: Kamara had decent service numbers but just wasn't able to connect with a teammate in this high-scoring game. He could be in line for more usage if Jurgen Ekkelenkamp's injury is serious, so he's worth backing against a Torino team which has conceded 56 times in Serie A play.
