Back with Lens

Gurtner has signed with Lens out of free agency, according to his new club.

Analysis: Gurtner is back with Lens after his contract expired with the club this summer, as he re-signs for another season in France. The 29-year-old is a veteran option with over 500 appearances in his career, recently recovering from a hamstring injury that left him out for six months. That said, he has only featured once with Lens since joining last campaign and will likely remain a rotational player, as his last starting season was in Ligue 2 during the 2024/25 campaign.
