Per sources: Earlier this window... Orlando City had a deal agreed to sign John Tolkin from Holstein Kiel. Club/player agreed, but Tolkin ultimately opted to stay in Germany.
Part of the deal was Orlando acquiring Tolkin's discovery rights from St. Louis... the agreement was for Tahir Reid-Brown to go to STL.
Even though Tolkin deal fell through, STL re-negotiated for Reid-Brown and Orlando didn't want to block it and let that deal happen.
Still needed a left back and they get a deal done for Vinicius Nogueira.
