Available for Copa del Rey clash

Nteka (back) will be available for Tuesday's Copa del Rey clash against Recreativo de Huelva after recovering from back discomfort, according to coach Benat San Jose, per Union Rayo.

Analysis: Nteka has recovered from the back issue that forced him to withdraw from the matchday squad shortly before the 1-1 draw against Getafe and subsequently miss Saturday's La Liga encounter against Elche. The Angolan forward had already endured a disrupted start to the campaign due to recurring fitness problems, having only recently returned to competitive action during the Trofeo Vallecas against Cagliari on Oct. 3. His latest recovery provides Rayo Vallecano with an additional attacking option ahead of Tuesday's cup fixture, with San Jose indicating that he could be involved. However, given his limited playing time in recent weeks, Nteka may initially be eased back into action rather than immediately taking on a significant workload. The cup encounter could provide an opportunity to rebuild his match fitness and work toward a more consistent role in the attacking rotation.

Likely out against Elche

Nteka (back) is unlikely to feature in Saturday's La Liga clash against Elche after being a late withdrawal from Monday's 1-1 draw against Getafe due to physical discomfort, according to Union Rayo.

Analysis: Nteka continues to struggle with fitness issues after being ruled out shortly before Monday's clash against Getafe, with Rayane Belaid replacing him in the matchday squad. The Angolan forward had recently returned to action during the Trofeo Vallecas against Cagliari on October 3, playing the closing minutes after dealing with physical problems earlier in the season. However, his latest setback has interrupted his recovery, making him unlikely to feature against Elche on Saturday.
