Scores goal in tie

Lobzhanidze scored one goal to go with four shots (two on goal), three crosses (one accurate) and four corners in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Los Angeles Football Club.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze leveled the match at 1-1 in the 18th minute, pouncing on a loose ball at the top of LAFC's area after a defensive breakdown and firing a composed finish past Hugo Lloris to immediately cancel out Denis Bouanga's opener. He registered four shots including two on goal, delivered one accurate cross from three attempts and took four corners across 67 minutes before being replaced as RSL made changes in the second half. Lobzhanidze now has one goal and three assists in eight MLS appearances this season.

On bench Saturday

Lobzhanidze (muscle soreness) is on the bench for Saturday's meeting against Minnesota United.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze has achieved a quick recovery as he wasn't dealing with a major issue, but his potential will be reduced without guaranteed minutes of play. He has contributed a pair of assists over three substitute appearances in league play since joining Real Salt Lake from Atlanta, but he went scoreless over his last two Leagues Cup outings. Lobzhanidze could get a few set pieces when he's on the field, but he's likely to be a secondary option behind Diego Luna.

Questionable with muscle soreness

Lobzhanidze was listed as questionable for Saturday's matchup versus Minnesota United as he deals with muscle soreness, the MLS announced Friday.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze has been one of RSL's most dangerous wide attackers, capable of creating and scoring either from a starting or bench role, and muscle soreness putting him in doubt is a meaningful concern for a club already managing significant absences across the lineup. If he's eventually ruled out, the team will lose an offensive asset, and Diego Luna will likely benefit with increased playing time and set pieces.

Sets up goal on Saturday

Lobzhanidze assisted once to go with two shots (one on goal), four crosses (two accurate) and three corners in Saturday's 1-1 draw against St. Louis City SC.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze replaced Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos at halftime and set up Sergi Solans' opener in the 60th minute. Lobzhanidze led his team in crosses and chances created (four). He has now assisted in two of his last three games and those have been his only assists of the campaign.

Debut assist in loss

Lobzhanidze provided one assist to go with four corners in Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Los Angeles Football Club.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze came on for Diego Luna in the 78th minute to make his RSL debut, immediately taking over corner kick duties and delivering the precise delivery that Lukas Engel headed home in the 86th minute. He also had a shot on target in stoppage time and delivered four corners in total across his cameo, with his set-piece quality the most encouraging sign from a difficult RSL evening.

Signs with Real Salt Lake

Lobzhanidze has joined Real Salt Lake from Atlanta United for the remainder of the 2026 MLS season, according to the club.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze recorded 15 goals and 21 assists in 93 career appearances for Atlanta since joining in 2023, and has contributed two goals and one assist in 13 appearances this season. The 31 year old Georgian international, who represented his country at Euro 2024, previously enjoyed a breakout 2024 campaign with Atlanta, tallying 17 goal contributions in the league, and brings extensive professional experience from stints in Denmark and Turkey prior to his MLS arrival. The move gives Real Salt Lake an experienced attacking option as it looks to boost its production for the rest of the season.

Five crosses Sunday

Lobzhanidze had two shots (zero on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 2-0 defeat versus Columbus Crew.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze recorded five crosses in his third straight match Sunday and he also recorded a season-high three chances created. While he was creating at a high level he struggled a bit in front of goal, only taking two off-target shots after recording at least two on-target shots in each of his last four appearances. He will now be away from club football for nearly two months due to the World Cup break.

Four shots Saturday

Lobzhanidze generated four shots (two on goal), 10 crosses (zero accurate) and five corners in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Orlando City SC.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze would start for a third match in a row Saturday as he clearly looks to have a starting role now after a bench spot through the first few games of the campaign. He would record a chance created, four shots and 10 crosses in the draw, earning plenty of opportunities but still going without a goal contribution.

Brace Saturday

Lobzhanidze scored two goals to go with five shots (three on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 win versus CF Montreal.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze was the hero of Saturday's match for Atlanta, as the attacker not only bagged a goal in the 41st minute, but added another in the 50th. This marks his first goal contributions of the season, coming after 10 appearances.

Active day attacking

Lobzhanidze recorded four shots (two on goal), eight crosses (two accurate) and five corners in Wednesday's 2-1 loss versus New England Revolution.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze received the start Wednesday after he was given rest from the bench in the last outing, recording 79 minutes of play. He would remain active on the field but is still in search of a goal contribution this season, recording four shots and eight crosses in the loss.

Back to the bench

Lobzhanidze registered two crosses in 16 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Atlanta United.

Analysis: Lobzhanidze returned to a role off the bench after earning a start in the previous match. When he gets a spot start, he typically has a role on set pieces and can create from open play, but considering he's only started three of eight matches this season, his fantasy value has taken a significant hit.
