Back in contention after adductor issue
Katranis (adductor) is not included on Real Salt Lake's latest injury report ahead of Saturday's MLS clash against Philadelphia Union, suggesting he has recovered from the setback sustained during warmups against Seattle Sounders.
Analysis: Katranis appears to have overcome the adductor problem that forced his late withdrawal from the starting lineup against Seattle. The defender had been expected to feature on the left flank before suffering the injury, with Kobi Henry stepping in as his replacement. Katranis has accumulated 358 minutes across five MLS appearances since August, contributing primarily through his defensive work. His return to contention provides RSL with another option at left-back, although his readiness to start remains uncertain following the recent setback.
Removed from starting XI Wednesday
Katranis was a late scratch for Wednesday's game against Seattle Sounders after suffering an adductor setback during warmups, per Salt City Soccer.
Analysis: Katranis didn't see action in the midweek duel after being initially expected to feature on the left flank, with Kobi Henry taking his place against the Sounders. The severity of the injury is still unclear, and it remains to be seen whether it will force Katranis to miss more matches. He had previously logged 358 minutes of play over five MLS appearances since August, contributing mainly through defensive production.
