Sidelined for midweek clash
White (hamstring) is out for Wednesday's game against Houston, Har Johal of The Daily Hive reports.
Analysis: White has been dealing with hamstring tightness, and he won't be an option here, meaning he'll miss a second consecutive match. Not having White in the lineup is a huge blow for the Caps, as the striker has 10 goals and two assists in 17 league outings in 2026. His next chance to play will come against FC Dallas on Saturday.
Won't play Sunday
White (hamstring) won't play Sunday against Seattle, Har Johal of Daily Hive reports.
Analysis: White has been dealing with hamstring tightness, and while he was spotted training on the side Friday, he won't be ready to feature over the weekend. In the meantime, Rayan Elloumi could see more minutes upfront for Vancouver, with Thomas Muller perhaps playing in a more advanced role as another possibility. White will aim to return for the Aug. 19 match against Houston, or the Aug. 22 game against FC Dallas, with both games being held at BC Place.
Suffers hamstring tightness
White was forced off in the 43rd minute of Friday's 3-1 Leagues Cup loss to Juarez due to hamstring tightness, according to coach Jesper Sorensen, per Har Journalist. "He felt some tightness in his hamstring and we have not any clear assessment of it as of now."
Analysis: White has been Vancouver's top offensive threat this season, leading the team with 10 goals and two assists across 17 starts heading into this match. His injury is a concerning development given how central he has been to the club's attack, and further clarity on the severity should emerge as Vancouver continues assessing the issue. Rayan Elloumi could see increased minutes if White had to miss some time.
Brace in goals and assists
White scored two goals and assisted twice from five shots and three chances created in Saturday's 4-2 win against San Diego FC. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 50th minute.
Analysis: White returned from a four game scoring drought with a brilliant offensive night, recording his first assists of the season with two while adding his fourth brace of the campaign, bringing his tally to 10 goals from 53 shots across 14 games.
Takes five shots in draw
White recorded five shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Los Angeles Galaxy.
Analysis: White led Vancouver in shots as usual, but could not find the back of the net. The forward scored eight times in 10 starts so far. He's on the way to top his mark from 2025, when he logged 18 goals in 24 appearances (21 starts).
Records brace
White scored two goals to go with six shots (four on goal) and three chances created in Saturday's 3-1 win against Colorado Rapids.
Analysis: White netted two goals for his third brace of the season. Things bring him to eight goals in nine matches played, averaging just under a goal a match, recording 39 shots (22 on target) for an average of about 4.3 shots a contest.
