Fernandes has returned to Carrington for preseason training ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, the club announced.

Analysis: Fernandes attempted the most crosses on the team despite lacking set-piece volume against Spain. However, it was his third straight match without a direct contribution, and he assisted only once over 423 minutes of play in his entire World Cup participation.
