Undergoes meniscus surgery
Locatelli underwent surgery Tuesday to suture the external meniscus of his right knee, the club announced.
Analysis: Locatelli was diagnosed with a right knee sprain following the 1-1 draw against AC Milan despite playing the full 90, and he underwent surgery Tuesday to repair what ended up being a more serious injury. According to Sky Italy, he's expected to miss five to six months. Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners, Weston McKennie (undisclosed) and Pape Sarr (undisclosed) will absorb his minutes in the midfield. The last two are currently dealing with minor injuries.
Picks up assist in Parma contest
Locatelli assisted once to go with one cross (zero accurate), one tackle (one won) and four chances created in Saturday's 2-0 win over Parma.
Analysis: Locatelli was one of the main creators for his side and eventually collected a helper by feeding Teun Koopmeiners after contributing to stripping an opponent deep into enemy territory. He had provided just two in the entire last season. He has registered at least one key pass, amassing five, and one interception, totaling seven, in the first two tilts, adding two tackles (both won) and six clearances.
