Pellegrini has been diagnosed with a high-grade tear of the MTJ of the semitendinous muscle in his right thigh, TeleRadioStereo reported.
Analysis: Pellegrini suffered a similar injury near the end of last season, which delayed his return to the club after his contract had expired and contributed to his slow start.
