Making progress in recovery
Pellegrini (thigh) "has started working with the group, which is a nice improvement. He could return against Inter or after the break," coach Gian Piero Gasperini relayed.
Analysis: Pellegrini has been rehabbing after a thigh procedure in recent months, but he's almost out of the woods, even though he's expected to miss three or four more matches. He'll compete with Rodrigo Mora and Matias Soule once he's ready to go.

Analysis: Pellegrini underwent surgery on his thigh after the end of last season and will need some more time to heal and to get up to speed physically, considering also that he worked on his own for a while, given his free agent status. Paulo Dybala, Matias Soule, Niccolo Pisilli and Neil El Aynaoui stand to benefit from his absence.
