Jack Taylor

Taylor (knee) remains unavailable for Ipswich's first team despite featuring in behind-closed-doors friendlies and an Under-21 fixture in early October, with the midfielder having made no appearances since and receiving no mention in the club's recent injury reports, according to Kings of Anglia.

Analysis: Taylor remains without a competitive first-team appearance this season after undergoing knee surgery during the offseason. The midfielder made encouraging progress in early October, gaining valuable minutes in behind-closed-doors friendlies and with Ipswich's Under-21 side as he worked toward rebuilding his match fitness. However, he has not featured at any level since those outings and continues to be absent from first-team matchday squads, including last Saturday's encounter against Manchester City. His absence from recent injury reports leaves his current recovery status unclear, with no indication of whether he has experienced another setback or is simply continuing his rehabilitation. Sasa Lukic and Exequiel Palacios remain available to handle central midfield duties while Taylor works toward his return. With no definitive timetable established, the midfielder remains sidelined for the time being.

Ruled out against Man City

Taylor (knee) is not in the squad for Saturday's match against Manchester City.

Analysis: Taylor is not ready to return to first-team competitive action following offseason knee surgery. Despite gaining minutes with Ipswich's U21s and in a behind-closed-doors friendly, the midfielder still needs more time to rebuild his match fitness. He remains without a competitive first-team appearance this season after also missing last Saturday's match against Fulham. Sasa Lukic and Exequiel Palacios remain options to handle central midfield duties during his absence.
