Back from Paraguay duty
Cubas (not injury related) is no longer listed on Vancouver Whitecaps' injury report ahead of Saturday's MLS clash against LAFC, suggesting he has returned from international duty with Paraguay.
Analysis: Cubas appears ready to resume his regular role in Vancouver's midfield after missing Tuesday's encounter against Chicago Fire due to international commitments. The defensive midfielder featured twice for Paraguay during the international break, playing 45 minutes against Bolivia and the full 90 against Colombia. With no injury concerns reported ahead of Saturday's fixture, Cubas should be in contention to reclaim his starting position against LAFC, providing Vancouver with an important defensive presence in midfield.
Won't play vs. Chicago
Cubas (not injury related) won't be an option for Tuesday's game against the Fire.
Analysis: Cubas played for Paraguay during the international break, logging 45 minutes in a 2-0 win over Bolivia on Sept. 27 and the full 90 in the 1-0 victory over Colombia on Oct. 3. The defensive midfielder should be back in the mix, and presumably in his regular starting role, against LAFC on Saturday, Oct. 10.
