On bench to face LAFC
Suleymanov (quadriceps) is on the bench in Saturday's contest versus Los Angeles FC.
Analysis: Suleymanov could see action again despite being questionable prior to the game, keeping his position as a rotational option in SKC's front line. While he hasn't scored or assisted in any of his last eight league outings, he offers playmaking value against most opposition, with set-piece numbers boosting his attacking potential. He'll push for playing time in place of either Stephen Afrifa or Taylor Calheira.
Doubtful with quad issue
Suleymanov is listed as questionable for the time being because of a quad injury.
Analysis: Suleymanov has served in both center-forward and winger positions while being in and out the starting lineup lately. This issue could reduce SKC's attacking depth, even though it's not a certain absence yet. Taylor Calheira and Stephen Afrifa are the main options who would carry offensive responsibilities if the injured player misses upcoming matches.
Notches three crosses
Suleymanov had one shot (zero on goal), three crosses (two accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Atlanta United.
Analysis: Suleymanov was back in the starting XI Sunday after a bench role in the club's last outing, with the forward playing the full 90. He would only see a single shot in his time on the field, although he would also add two chances created and three crosses. The forward has struggled this season, only earning one goal and one assist in 18 appearances (11 starts) this season.
Assists Saturday
Suleymanov assisted once to go with three shots (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Austin FC.
Analysis: Suleymanov assisted Manu Garcia's strike in the 79th minute Saturday, a goal which tied the match at 1-1. It was the only chance he created in the match and it marked his first assist of the season. He also tied a season high with three shots as he made his second straight appearance off the bench.
