Ruled out Wednesday
Kolmanic (hamstring) is out for Wednesday's trip to LAFC, per the Austin injury report.
Analysis: Kolmanic isn't an option for Wednesday's clash as he continues to deal with a hamstring issue. The defender is unlikely to be ready for a Saturday clash with Vancouver on such a short turnaround either. That would put Kolmanic's return at an Oct. 24 trip to Sporting Kansas City at the earliest.
Exits with thigh issue Saturday
Kolmanic was forced off with a potential muscle concern during Saturday's game versus San Diego.
Analysis: Kolmanic may be dealing with a considerable injury after being unable to continue before halftime against San Diego. While the extent of his potential absence remains uncertain, it would be a relevant blow for a side that was placing increased confidence on him while Guilherme Biro served suspension. Luckily for the team, Biro will be back to take a defensive spot in upcoming fixtures. Kolmanic had managed one shot, five clearances and two interceptions over his recent run of two starts.
Five crosses in 0-0 draw
Kolmanic generated five crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 0-0 draw against FC Dallas.
Analysis: Kolmanic returned to the starting lineup, having been on the bench for five games in a row. The centre-back attempted five crosses, including taking one corner in a position that would traditionally not be associated with crosses. He has two assists so far this season, both have come in the last seven minutes from nine chances created.
Sets up goal on Wednesday
Kolmanic assisted once to go with two crosses (two accurate) and three chances created in Wednesday's 1-1 draw versus Colorado Rapids.
Analysis: Kolmanic set up Facundo Torres' equalizer in the 79th minute. Kolmanic created three chances and also made a clearance. He has now set up two goals in the last five games.
Starts, assists off bench
Kolmanic assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), five crosses (three accurate) and four corners in Wednesday's 2-1 victory against Seattle Sounders FC.
Analysis: Kolmanic made his first MLS appearance since May, logging 79 minutes and providing an assist in Wednesday's win. He started at center back ahead of Oleksandr Svatok, who was rested for workload management. He's mostly been a bench option for Austin, with just three starts across 10 league appearances.
