Rare goal Saturday

Herrera scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus FC Dallas.

Analysis: Once in a while, Herrera can get on the scoresheet, and by doing so Saturday, he logged his third goal this season. Most of the central midfielder's value stems from his defense, and his 2026 season features 25 tackles, 19 clearances, 12 interceptions and seven blocks.

Returning for Houston

Herrera has served his one match suspension and will be an option for the trip to San Diego on Wednesday.

Analysis: Herrera is expected to return to Houston's XI after earning starts in five of his last seven outings. In that stretch, the veteran midfielder has posted four tackles, five chances created, and four clearances, giving him a steady run of form.
