Morgan has been acquired by Toronto FC from San Diego FC in exchange for a 2026 international roster slot, the club announced.
Analysis: Morgan was one of the best players at Red Bull New York over his four seasons there, racking up 31 goals and 10 assists in 82 appearances and winning the 2024 MLS Comeback Player of the Year award, though injuries disrupted his form and limited spells along the way. He struggled to replicate that impact in a brief stint with San Diego FC this year, managing three assists in 18 appearances. His versatility across the attack should earn him rotation minutes in Toronto once he's settled.

Morgan assisted once to go with three shots (one on goal), 11 crosses (two accurate) and six corners in Wednesday's 3-1 loss versus Portland Timbers.
Analysis: Morgan delivered his best creative output of the season with four chances created, taking over corner duties with Andres Dreyer (suspension) out of the lineup. He had managed only five chances created across his 12 prior appearances for San Diego this season, and the outing produced his third assist.

Analysis: Morgan replaced Onni Valakari in the 87th minute and won a duel. Morgan has been sparsely used recently, featuring in four of San Diego's last six games, all as a substitute.

Morgan (lower body) is on the bench for Saturday's showdown against Cincinnati.
Analysis: Morgan could see action for the first time since May 3 after overcoming a physical discomfort. Outside of a run of four starts in which he produced two assists in April, the midfielder has seen limited involvement throughout the current league season. Still, his comeback might threaten Marcus Ingvartsen and Amahl Pellegrino in terms of playing time going forward.

Analysis: Morgan is a new addition to San Diego's report this matchday with a lower-body injury, and losing one of their more productive wide attackers is a significant development for a club already dealing with an alarming number of absences. He's been a reliable fantasy contributor when healthy and starting, making this one of the more impactful new entries on the entire report. Marcus Ingvartsen is likely to start at forward in his place while out.
