Analysis: Llorente came off the bench in Atletico's first two matches of the 2026/27 season, but he's started in the last six -- five league appearances and the UCL opener against Liverpool. He seems to have a tight grip on the starting RB role, but he's also made two starts in central midfield, so his versatility is very valuable for manager Diego Pablo Simeone. Llorente should remain the first-choice right-back since Marc Pubill, who can play that role as well, has been operating as a center-back most of the time.
