Returns to substitute role
Sabovic registered three tackles (three won), one clearance and one interception in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Sporting Kansas City.
Analysis: Sabovic returned to a substitute role after starting Austin's previous two MLS matches, although he still made a useful defensive contribution with three successful tackles, one clearance and one interception. The midfielder has alternated between starting assignments and appearances off the bench throughout the campaign, reflecting his position within Austin's midfield rotation. He has now recorded one assist, 22 tackles, 10 interceptions and 30 clearances across 26 MLS appearances this season, including 14 starts. His defensive work rate and occasional set-piece responsibilities could help him remain involved, although his starting opportunities continue to fluctuate.
Sets up opener

Analysis: Sabovic set up the opener for Ilie Sanchez in the 11th minute with a well-taken corner. Sabovic took only 18 touches, recorded 10 passes, and also contributed defensively with a tackle.
