Assists in win
Lassiter assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 5-4 win against Minnesota United.
Analysis: Lassiter provided one assist during Saturday's win, sending in a pair of crosses during the win. The forward was unable to get much done during the match other than that assist, but the assist was all he, and Portland needed. Lassiter isn't going to get this much time and space every time he steps on the pitch, but when he does he has plenty of upside and the chance to be a difference-maker.
Records 10 crosses, three accurate
Lassiter registered two shots (one on goal), 10 crosses (three accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Austin FC.
Analysis: For the first time this season, Lassiter logged double-digit crosses. Since July 17, beginning a seven-game span in which he started six games, the forward logged three accurate crosses thrice. Lassiter has been efficient since his return to the starting XI, and with his 35 crosses (11 accurate) from the flank, perhaps he has warranted a continued role in Portland's starting XI.
Scores in XI return
Lassiter scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Wednesday's 3-1 win versus San Diego FC. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 17th minute.
Analysis: Lassiter was brought off the bench against Chicago in his last outing to get some rest after starting all three League Cup games, and he marked his return with a goal, extending an impressive streak that has produced four goals in his last four starts across all competitions. He also registered a season high three shots in the game while creating one other chance.
Assists from corner
Lassiter assisted once to go with seven crosses (three accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 2-1 win versus Real Salt Lake.
Analysis: Lassiter delivered seven crosses and took two corners with one of them headed in by Felipe Mora to earn him an assist on the night. The player has made three consecutive starts under interim coach Jack Cassidy after managing only one prior to his appointment, and across those three games he has been a consistent wide presence, delivering 20 crosses, creating four chances and registering one shot.
Scores and assists as substitute
Lassiter scored one goal and assisted once from two shots and one chance created in Saturday's 6-0 win against Sporting Kansas City.
Analysis: Lassiter came on in the 61st minute and scored just 10 minutes later with a brilliant long-range free kick. He then assisted Kevin Kelsy in the 74th minute. Lassiter also made two clearances and an interception. He has featured in eight games this campaign, starting only once so far.
