Available for Dortmund clash
Itten (foot) appears to be an option for Friday's clash against Borussia Dortmund after being left off coach Daniel Thioune's latest injury report.
Analysis: Itten appears to have recovered from the foot knock that forced him to miss Switzerland's Nations League clash against Slovenia, with his absence from Thioune's latest injury update suggesting he's available for selection. The striker had been expected to resume full training during the international break after the issue was deemed relatively minor. He should now be in contention for Friday's matchup against Dortmund, though his exact role will depend on coach Thioune's lineup decisions.
Set to resume training
Itten is expected to return to full training with Switzerland on Monday after missing Saturday's Nations League clash against Slovenia due to a foot knock, according to the club.
Analysis: Itten picked up the issue during Switzerland training but appears to have avoided a significant injury, with his return to regular work expected after just one missed match. The striker could therefore still be available for Switzerland's remaining international fixture if he progresses as planned. His quick return would also ease concerns over his availability for Werder Bremen following the international break.
