Provides assist against Venezia
Beto assisted once to go with three shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Friday's 4-2 win over Venezia.
Analysis: Beto drew his first start since joining Fiorentina and in the campaign in general and contributed to one of Franco Mastantuono's goals by pickpocketing a defender and letting his teammate take the ball. Mateo Pellegrino scored off the bench, so the hierarchy at the position remains in flux. He has tallied one or more shots in all his four outings despite the transfer, totaling six (one target).
Joining Fiorentina
Beto completed a permanent transfer from Everton to Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee Tuesday.
Analysis: Beto was expected to hold a secondary role for Everton this season, but the striker should see steady playing time in Serie A, especially if Moise Kean departs Fiorentina before the end of the transfer window. Beto lived some of the best moments of his career in Italy, including back-to-back seasons with at least 10 goals for Udinese in 2021/22 and 2022/23.
