Continues recovery from surgery
Araujo (thigh) is still working his way back to full fitness nearly three months after he had surgery on his left thigh, per reporter Julio Rodriguez.
Analysis: Araujo remains sidelined for practically the remainder of the calendar year as he rebuilds fitness following his preseason thigh injury and surgery. The defender posted a video of his rehabilitation in which he's seen running on grass, but still away from ball drills. Although he's not a primary option, his absence limits Bournemouth's right-back depth until he is cleared for competitive action. In any case, it will be difficult for him to earn a role in the competition with Adam Smith and Juanlu this season.
Return pushed toward late November
Araujo (thigh) remains sidelined following surgery and is not expected to return to competitive action until late November, according to the Sunderland Echo.
Analysis: Araujo has been out since suffering a left thigh muscle injury during Bournemouth's preseason tour in Austria, which required surgery and has kept him unavailable throughout the opening months of the campaign. Coach Marco Rose previously indicated that the defender could return at some point in November, but the latest update suggests his recovery will extend toward the end of the month.
