Brace in sendoff game
Mora scored two goals to go with four shots (two on goal) in Saturday's 2-1 win versus Real Salt Lake.
Analysis: Mora bid farewell to Portland in the best way imaginable, coming on for injured Kevin Kelsy in the starting XI and delivering a second half brace, both goals coming from headed corner kicks, to complete a 2-1 comeback win over Real Salt Lake. It capped a memorable final week for the Chilean forward, who also produced a stoppage time equalizer off the bench in his previous outing. Over seven seasons in Portland, Mora established himself as one of the most productive attackers in club history, tallying 48 goals and 20 assists in 145 MLS appearances. He is set to return to Liga MX with Atletico San Luis.
Scores in draw
Mora scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one chance created in Wednesday's 2-2 draw versus FC Dallas.
Analysis: Mora made an immediate impact, finishing inside the box just nine minutes after coming on as a substitute. He has found it difficult to earn consistent minutes this season, starting just four of his 12 appearances and accumulating 373 minutes of action. His impact off the bench leaves his starting role for the next fixture uncertain, though if he does feature against Salt Lake, who sit fourth in the Western Conference standings, it will be a difficult test to build on the momentum.
Leaving Timbers after RSL clash
Mora will see his final game as a Portland Timbers player Saturday against Real Salt Lake, according to the team.
Analysis: Mora will depart as a big part of the Timbers' recent history after operating as one of their main attacking threats since his arrival from Liga MX side Pumas in 2020. With one more MLS game to play, the striker has registered 50 goals and 12 assists along with 255 shots (115 on goal) and 100 chances created across 158 appearances (96 starts) in the league competition. His next destination is yet to be confirmed, but unofficial reports point to a return to Mexico with Atletico San Luis.
