Struggles in service

Corbeanu registered one shot (zero on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 4-4 draw against Chicago Fire.

Analysis: The forward was not on point in this match with only one accurate cross, therefore not registering key stats in an otherwise big game for most of Toronto's attacking players. Corbeanu will have to be more accurate to have a shot at an assist against Nashville, a side that has only given up 17 goals so far in this MLS campaign.

Scores goal

Corbeanu logged one goal, eight crosses (three accurate) and five chances created during Toronto FC's 2-1 loss Saturday at D.C. United.

Analysis: Corbeanu has regularly played for Toronto since his return, with four appearances and two starts. He logged his second start Saturday and got on the scoresheet by taking advantage of a previously saved shot by goalkeeper Sean Johnson. It looks like Corbeanu will be a regular rotation player for Toronto as long as he stays healthy.

On bench for Chicago match

Corbeanu (knee) is on the bench Saturday against Chicago Fire.

Analysis: Corbeanu may finally make his first appearance of the 2026 MLS campaign, although he's expected to serve as a backup option in the short term. If he avoids any setbacks, he could eventually put some pressure on Derrick Etienne and Daniel Salloi on the flanks. Last season, Corbeanu tallied six goals and two assists across 32 MLS games.
