Questionable for Frankfurt clash
Baku (undisclosed) is questionable for Saturday's Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt after returning from international duty with Germany due to unspecified physical issues, according to Leipziger Volkszeitung.
Analysis: Baku is dealing with an undisclosed fitness concern following the international break, putting his availability for Saturday's matchup against Frankfurt in doubt. The right-back was called up by Germany but did not feature during the international window, and the nature or severity of his issue remains unclear. Baku has enjoyed a productive start to the Bundesliga campaign, scoring in each of Leipzig's opening two matches, including a goal in the 3-1 defeat to Werder Bremen. His potential absence would represent another setback for Leipzig, who are already dealing with several injuries across the squad. Benjamin Henrichs is the leading candidate to replace him at right-back in case he misses the game.
Scores again
Baku scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal), six crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Werder Bremen.
Analysis: Baku scored again for Leipzig on Saturday, giving him goals in back-to-back matches to open the season. It's an extremely impressive start, as he has already matched his goal total from last season in just two games and is on pace for a much stronger scoring campaign.
