Nine crosses, six corners

Van den Boomen registered nine crosses (two accurate) and six corners in Saturday's 0-0 draw versus Le Havre.

Analysis: Van den Boomen's nine crosses are somehow his season-low, meaning he has reached double digits in the category in each of his other appearances. A lot of the crosses are helped by the fact that he is Angers' primary corner taker, as he is averaging just under nine corner attempts. Nonetheless, van den Boomen has been an active playmaker, creating 11 chances for one assist across his four appearances this season.

Logs in assist

Van den Boomen assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal), 16 crosses (five accurate) and 12 corners in Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Rennes.

Analysis: Van den Boomen assisted Carlos Arcus' lone goal Sunday against Rennes, continuing his strong influence in Angers' midfield. He's opened the season with a goal and an assist across three starts, and his production has been elite with 38 crosses and 10 chances created in three appearances, keeping Angers' buildup flowing through him.
