Signs permanently with Angers

van den Boomen completed a permanent move to Angers after the club exercised its option following his loan spell from Ajax, the club announced.

Analysis: van den Boomen initially joined Angers on loan in January and quickly became an important figure in midfield, making 15 appearances and providing one assist during the second half of the season. The 30-year-old brings extensive experience from spells with Ajax, Willem II, Eindhoven, De Graafschap and Toulouse, where he played a key role in the club's rise back to Ligue 1. Known for his passing range, vision and set-piece delivery, Van den Boomen has now committed his future to Angers through 2029 as the club secures a proven midfield presence on a permanent basis.
