Shuts out Toronto FC
Willis made three saves in Saturday's 2-0 win over Toronto FC.
Analysis: The veteran goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in his first appearance of the season. He did his part to deputize while starting goalkeeper Brian Schwake is away on international duty, and he'll likely resume his backup role when Nashville returns to action at Austin FC on Saturday, October 10.
Makes bench Sunday
Willis (lower body) made the bench for Sunday's 4-1 Leagues Cup win over San Luis, according to the club.
Analysis: Willis had been sidelined with a lower body issue that kept him out of a recent match against D.C. United, an absence that mainly affected Nashville's goalkeeping depth given his backup role behind Brian Schwake. His return to the matchday squad confirms he has recovered, and he remains available as cover heading into the rest of Leagues Cup play.
