Analysis: Crepeau conceded one goal Saturday, an outside-the-box strike by Pavel Bucha in the 23rd minute. He only needed to make two other saves in the draw, so credit goes to his defense for shutting down the potent Cincinnati attack. He faces another difficult matchup Wednesday versus Chicago, a side which has scored 34 goals through 18 matches this season.

Clean sheet against South Africa
Crepeau registered one save and allowed zero goals in Sunday's 1-0 win over South Africa.
Analysis: Crepeau would only need to make one save late in the match for Canada, but it was a big one, holding South Africa goalless for the win and a clean sheet. This is his second clean sheet of the World Cup, as he earned one in the group stage against Qatar. He will face off against either Morocco or the Netherlands in the round of 16, likely to be their toughest game of the tournament, no matter which team wins.

The Orlando goalkeeper was able to keep his first World Cup clean sheet, while the Qataris were only able to take two shots in the match. In the opening two matches, the keeper has only conceded one goal and only been required to make two saves.
Two saves for draw

Analysis: Crepeau stopped two of the three shots he faced during Friday's draw. The goalkeeper was beaten early in the first half but didn't have much to do after that. Both teams were content to play a slower match out and Crepeau made his final two saves well. The goalkeeper will have a stout defensive unit in front of him that should limit the more dangerous chances he faces in the coming matches.

Analysis: Crepeau will be relied on for his reflexes between the posts despite his chaotic start to the campaign with Orlando City, for which he has racked up 62 saves and 38 goals conceded across 14 MLS matches. The 31-year-old is projected to get his first World Cup experience and could be active when facing tough opposition, though he may have a couple of chances to keep his goal unbeaten in the easier group-stage games. However, the injury-plagued Canada defense generates plenty of uncertainty heading into the tournament.

Analysis: Crepeau had a difficult night in Saturday's clash, seeing his goal beaten six times for the second time this year despite his high volume of saves. The goalkeeper has stopped more than three shots in eight of his last 10 appearances since April. However, he remains without a clean sheet during that span as part of the league's weakest defensive unit. His focus now shifts to international duty, where he'll compete with Dayne St. Clair for a place in Canada's lineup at the World Cup.
