Will miss several more weeks
Roldan (quadriceps) is expected to remain sidelined for the next three to four weeks, manager Brian Schmetzer told Jackson Felts of 93.3 KJR.
Analysis: Roldan hasn't played for the Sounders since before the World Cup break, and the veteran midfielder, who didn't see minutes for the USMNT at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, won't return to action in the next few weeks. Given Schmetzer's timeline, Roldan could return to Seattle around late August if he doesn't suffer any other setbacks.
Still not fit
Roldan is out for the time being due to a quad injury, per the MLS Player Status Report.
Analysis: Roldan had cleared Seattle's injury report before the World Cup break and has now returned post-break with a quad injury, something he suffered in training while serving with the USMNT, leaving him out of their last few games. He's been a midfield stalwart for the Sounders and a useful fantasy contributor when featuring regularly, and this new absence comes at a particularly difficult time, given how many other Seattle players are also unavailable. His absence will then create a major mixup in the middle of the pitch as they try to find another player as confident on the ball as him, with Snyder Brunell the likely option for now.
