Scores versus Columbus
Polster scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Columbus Crew.
Analysis: Polster scored his first goal of the season Sunday, a strike in the 32nd minute assisted by Mamadou Fofana which tied the match at 1-1. It was one of two shots he took in the match, just the third time this season he's recorded multiple shots. Sunday also marked his eighth consecutive start at right back, a position he's performed quite well in.
Assist Saturday
Polster assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Atlanta United.
Analysis: Polster would earn his first assist of the season for New England on Saturday, with the midfielder finding Carles Gil early in the 11th minute. This is also his first goal contribution of the season, as Polster mainly serves in a defensive role. That said, he also added one tackle won, two interceptions and five clearances in the defense.
Option again
Polster (hamstring) is "good to go" and an option for play again, according to Sam Lattof of the Blazing Musket.
Analysis: Polster was out for the past five weeks but is finally set for a return from a hamstring injury, as the midfielder is set for a return in their coming games. This is huge news after he started in the first five games of the season, obviously, someone the club deems a critical player in the midfield. He does serve as more of a defensive option, so seeing much production from the midfielder will be limited this campaign.
