Promising New England debut
Harrison generated two shots (zero on goal) and six crosses (two accurate) in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: Harrison made his first appearance in a New England shirt in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Houston, registering two shots, five crosses and three tackles (two won) across his time on the pitch following his transfer from Leeds United in what was an encouraging individual display despite the result. The English winger showed the directness and two-way contribution and his ability to contribute defensively with tackles alongside his attacking output from wide positions gives New England a versatile and technically capable option heading into the rest of their MLS campaign.
Given Green Card and Visa
Harrison (not injury related) has been given his Green Card and Visa and will be an option for New England moving forward, according to his club.
Analysis: Harrison joined New England just a few days ago and is already getting ready for play, as the attacker has received his Green Card and Visa, leaving him as an option for future games. This is huge news for New England, as he is set to be one of their key players following his move. That said, he has plenty of experience in the Premier League and could be a game-changer for the club, trying to replicate what numerous players have done before following a transfer across the pond.
Not yet available for New England
Harrison will be unable to make his Revolution debut Saturday at Montreal, according to the MLS availability report.
Analysis: Harrison is a winger who arrived at New England as a high-profile signing from Leeds United in the summer transfer window, bringing Premier League experience and the ability to stretch defenses from wide positions. However, his first appearance for his new club will have to wait until he's fully settled in the squad and cleared to play. Thus, Marcos Zambrano and Peyton Miller may get a few more opportunities on the wings for now.
Signs with New England
Harrison signed a Designated Player contract with New England through the 2029-30 season after departing Leeds United, the club announced.
Analysis: Harrison has tallied 54 goals and 50 assists across more than 375 appearances during his career, including a five year spell at Leeds where he helped the club win promotion in 2019-20 and made at least 35 appearances in each of his five full seasons. He also spent time on loan at Everton and most recently Fiorentina in Serie A before this move. The winger began his professional career at New York City FC after being selected first overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, notching a career high 10 goals in 2017. Harrison is expected to add creativity and attacking depth to New England's frontline once his paperwork is finalized.
Returning to Leeds
Harrison hasn't been bought out by Fiorentina following his loan spell.
Analysis: Harrison got plenty of run during his six months in Serie A, recording one goal and three assists and adding 13 shots (four on target), 15 chances created and 57 crosses (11 accurate) in 15 appearances (10 starts), but Fiorentina passed on keeping him permanently for now. It remains to be seen whether he'll get another chance at Leeds United or transfer again.
Creates three chances versus Atalanta
Harrison won two of three tackles and recorded two shots (one on goal), two crosses (two accurate) and three chances created in Friday's 1-1 draw versus Atalanta.
Analysis: Harrison replaced Fabiano Parisi (knee) on the right wing, was the main playmaker for his side and put up good numbers in several stats in this one. He has sent in multiple crosses in his last four outings, racking up 13 (four accurate). It remains to be seen whether Fiorentina will buy him out from Leeds. He has scored once, assisted three times, and tallied 13 shots (four on target), 15 chances created, and 57 crosses (11 accurate) in 15 games (10 starts) since his January switch.
Scores pretty goal versus Lecce
Harrison scored one goal to go with one shot (one on target), one tackle (one won) and one chance created in Monday's 1-1 draw against Lecce.
Analysis: Harrison got the call over Manor Solomon and bagged his first goal since moving to Italy, putting a lefty curled shot in the top corner. He has made the stat sheet in three straight matches since he was coming off back-to-back assists. He has created at least one chance in four fixtures in a row, amassing five key passes and adding four shots, three corners and three tackles (one won) over that span. Instead, he halted a three-game streak with at least one cross in this one.
