Extends Revolution loan

Turner had his loan extended by New England through Dec. 31, 2026, with an option through 2027 and a subsequent purchase option, the club announced.

Analysis: Turner returns to New England after his second consecutive World Cup with the United States, having made his fifth career start on the World Cup stage. The goalkeeper has recorded 27 clean sheets and 29 wins across 55 caps for the USMNT, and in MLS play he has piled up 54 wins in 126 starts across eight seasons, ranking second in club history in starts, goals against average, wins, saves and save percentage. The 2021 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year holds the top win percentage among goalkeepers in franchise history. Turner is expected to remain the clear starter between the posts as the Revolution continue their playoff push. New England resumes its season with a two game homestand at Gillette Stadium beginning July 22 against Toronto FC.

Ends loan spell

Turner will return to parent club Lyon following the conclusion of his loan spell at New England Revolution, though both clubs are in negotiations over a permanent transfer while the goalkeeper is representing the United States at the World Cup.

Analysis: Turner made 14 MLS starts across 1,260 minutes this season, recording 60 saves and three clean sheets while conceding 18 goals, and has also made one World Cup appearance for the USMNT. The American goalkeeper had previously established himself as a Premier League level option during stints at Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, and now heads into a crucial summer window that could determine his long-term future as New England are looking to secure a permanent deal.

Concedes three in loss

Turner made zero saves in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Turkiye.

Analysis: With the United States already through to the next round, Turner got the start ahead of Matt Freese. He faced a defense that lacked cohesion due to significant squad rotation, and Turkiye punished nearly every major defensive mistake. With the U.S. already through as Group D winners, the performance is more likely to be viewed as an isolated disappointment than a major concern heading into the knockout stage. Look for Turner to return to a backup role to Freese against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Wednesday's Round of 32 clash.

Concedes one

Turner recorded five saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-0 loss versus Charlotte FC.

Analysis: Turner recorded five saves but conceded a goal in the 16th minute. Over the last four games, he has accumulated 12 saves and five clearances. He has been called up by the USA for the upcoming World Cup for the second consecutive time.

Fives saves in victory

Turner registered five saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Minnesota United.

Analysis: Turner was the standout performer in Saturday's 2-1 win over Minnesota, making five saves across 90 minutes to deny the Loons on multiple occasions, producing his best stop in the first half when he dove to his left to push away Anthony Markanich's close-range header from a Kyle Duncan cross. The American international operates as an experienced last line of defense who brings command and composure to a young New England backline. Turner has now made 55 saves and kept three clean sheets across 13 MLS appearances this season, and will look to carry this momentum into the next match against Charlotte.

One save in 3-0 loss

Turner made one save in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to Nashville SC.

Analysis: Turner was beaten by a pair of well-placed strikes, and he also made an uncharacteristic error trying to play the ball out of the back, which led to a goal. He'll have a chance to get back on track at home on Saturday against Minnesota United.

One save in win

Turner recorded one save and allowed one goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Philadelphia Union.

Analysis: Turner was involved throughout Saturday's 2-1 win over Philadelphia Union, making one key intervention in the second half when Cavan Sullivan's powerful strike forced him into a parry that fell to Ezekiel Alladoh at close range. The American international was otherwise largely untroubled as his side's strong second-half display limited the Union to very little in the final third after taking the lead. Turner has made 49 saves, conceded 13 goals and kept three clean sheets in 11 MLS appearances this season. He will look to maintain his momentum against Nashville in the next match.

Clean sheet with three saves

Turner recorded three saves and secured a clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 victory versus Charlotte FC.

Analysis: Since early-April, Turner has logged six appearances, half of which he recorded a clean sheet. Despite three non-clean sheets, the goalkeeper still impressed, with at least three saves and only one goal conceded each game. Overall, the six-game span saw Turner not only average 5.2 saves but also record a 91.2 save percentage, cementing himself as one of Major League Soccer's top GKs.

Apr 26, 2026

Concedes one

Turner recorded nine saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Inter Miami CF.

Analysis: Turner conceded the equalizer in the 75th minute but produced a strong display with nine saves, preventing further damage. He has now recorded 28 saves and four clearances across his last five appearances, conceding just three goals in that span. Up next is a clash with Charlotte FC, who have scored six times in their last four matches.

Concedes one against Atlanta

Turner had eight saves and allowed one goal in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Atlanta United.

Analysis: Turner would only be beaten once in a solid display in net, with the keeper's eight saves being a huge help in the win. However, it was a second match in a row without a clean sheet, remaining at two in eight appearances this season. He will get ready to face Miami in a much tougher match on Saturday.
