Ends scoring drought
Scamacca scored Italy's opening goal in Monday's 3-1 Nations League win over Turkey.
Analysis: Scamacca opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a volley off the underside of the crossbar. This ended a three-year national team scoring drought for the forward. The 27-year-old started ahead of Francesco Pio Esposito, as the latter then replaced him in the second half. Scamacca will now return to Atalanta, hoping to pick up consistent form and help Italy again during the next international break.
Finds the target versus Cagliari
Scamacca scored one goal to go with four shots (two on target) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-1 loss versus Cagliari.
Analysis: Scamacca netted his maiden goal with a robust effort from the middle of the box that was helped by a deflection. He has started consistently, even though Nikola Krstovic has been impactful off the bench. He co-led his team in shots in this one, setting a new season high. He has fired at least one in three consecutive outings, accumulating six (four on target). He has also created four chances in the first four games.
