Flurry of service off the bench
Moreno registered five crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 5-0 defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Analysis: Moreno didn't provide a spark as all five of his crosses were deemed inaccurate, and it was unlikely to make much of a difference anyway given where the game was headed. The midfielder could see more action off the bench against St. Louis SC, a team which has solid defensively but has allowed at least one goal in four straight matches.
Shines in return to starting XI
Moreno had an assist while taking two shots (one on goal), crossing four times (two accurate) and creating six chances during Sunday's 2-1 win over Austin.
Analysis: Moreno set up Lalas Abubakar in first half stoppage time assiting the opening goal of the match while leading Dallas in crosses and chances created. The assist was the first since April for Moreno as he's combined for three shots, seven chances created and eight crosses over his last three appearances with Sunday's match being his first start since the return of MLS following the World Cup.
Converts penalty on Saturday
Moreno scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 2-1 win against Colorado Rapids.
Analysis: Moreno reestablished Dallas' lead by scoring just before halftime. He completed 15 passes and made two clearances. He has now scored twice in the last four games. His next match will be in July, following the conclusion of the World Cup.
Scores one
Moreno scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 win versus Real Salt Lake.
Analysis: Moreno recorded his first goal of the season Saturday, adding on to his one assist on the season. He's also beginning to be a regular in the starting XI, making a start in the last four league games, collecting 11 crosses while creating 11 clearances in that span.
Assists in 2-1 defeat
Moreno assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), four crosses (one accurate) and five corners in Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Seattle Sounders FC.
Analysis: Moreno assisted Nolan Norris for Dallas' goal in their 2-1 defeat to the Seattle Sounders. He has started the last two games having been on the bench for the first three matches before this since joining the club. He took five corners in the match and has already moved up to the fourth-highest set-piece taker this season.
