Cowell (ankle) is in the initial lineup for Wednesday's meeting with Philadelphia Union.
Analysis: Cowell won't miss any game for now despite being linked with a move to Liga MX side Tigres, so he'll have at least one more opportunity to produce for RBNY. The winger has had some ups and downs this season, but he remains a regular piece of his side's attacking unit, tallying one goal and three assists across 13 matches played. His presence is excellent news for a side that lacks depth in the absence of Rafael Mosquera (thigh).
Back in training
Cowell (ankle) is back in training, according to South Ward Central, and he wasn't listed on the Red Bulls' injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against Philadelphia.
Analysis: Cowell used the World Cup break to overcome an ankle injury, but it remains to be seen whether the forward will be available for Wednesday's game since he's being linked with a move to Tigres UANL in Liga MX. Cowell has one goal and three assists in 13 starts this season for NYRB.
Forced off Saturday
Cowell left Saturday's 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City after twisting his left ankle.
Analysis: Cowell was replaced by Rafael Mosquera in the 19th minute of the match due to the injury. Cowell has been his team's regular right winger this season, and a severe issue would put an end to his run of six league starts, a period in which he has scored one goal and two assists. Luckily for him and the squad, the next MLS game week will come in late July, so he'll have plenty of time to work on his recovery.

Analysis: Cowell was rather active in dribbling and playmaking duties on the right flank, though his effort didn't lead to a goal against Dallas. He finished without a direct contribution for the fourth successive league match. While he did generate an assist during a recent US Open Cup outing, he'll look to turn his offensive contributions into decisive actions in the final fixtures before the World Cup break. However, his upside is somewhat limited by the fact that he hasn't played more than 75 minutes in a game since March 8.

Analysis: Cowell's 12 crosses (six accurate) led the New York Red Bulls attack Saturday but he was unable to pick the lock of the Cincinnati defense in a 2-0 defeat. In addition to setting a new season-high for cross attempts, the forward's four shot attempts and six corners also marked season-highs. In his first MLS campaign since the 2023 season, Cowell has assisted once over his first eight appearances (eight starts).
