Helps Bayern to clean sheet
Tah made three interceptions, two tackles (winning one) and a clearance during Friday's 7-0 win over Union Berlin.
Analysis: Tah helped Bayern to a clean sheet as a member of the team's back line Friday leading his side in interceptions and clearances. The defender has combined for five tackles and three clearances across his three Bundesliga appearances so far this season.
Diverse stat line Saturday
Tah registered one shot (zero on goal) and three tackles (three won) in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Schalke.
Analysis: Tah benefited from a favorable matchup to push forward from his usual position, playing virtually as a midfielder and adding plenty of contributions to his clean sheet during the draw. With Bayern dominating possession, Tah led all players in the game with 127 accurate passes, and he also made a defensive impact by recording two last-man tackles. After coming off the bench in the opening game and then returning to the starting lineup for both Pokal and league action, he should now be well-positioned in the race against Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-Jae for spots in the center-back pairing.
