Concedes one in win
Takaoka had four saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 2-1 win against Austin FC.
Analysis: Takaoka was called into action on several occasions, making four saves including a diving stop as Vancouver held on for the result. The goal he conceded came from Marcelino Uzuni intercepting a backpass before finishing tidily, leaving him with little he could have done. His 68.2 save percentage and 12 clean sheets across 29 matches this season reflect one of the stronger individual campaigns among MLS goalkeepers, and with 91 shots faced, the defense in front of him has given him a significant workload. His next fixture against Colorado, who sit ninth in the Western Conference, presents a favorable opportunity to add to his clean sheet tally.
Three saves in clean sheet
Takaoka kept a clean sheet while making three saves during Wednesday's 0-0 draw with St. Louis.
Analysis: Takaoka helped Vancouver to a point by shutting out St. Louis on Wednesday. The clean sheet was the first since September 20th as the keeper has allowed four goals while combining for nine saves over his last three starts. Vancouver head to Austin on Saturday.
