Trains with team, available for opener
Klostermann (groin) was spotted training fully this week and is an option for Saturday's season opener against Gladbach, the club posted.
Analysis: Klostermann had been working individually to manage a recurring groin issue that had already resurfaced once after an earlier return to team training in preseason, prompting a more cautious approach from Leipzig. This full week of training now suggests the issue has finally settled, positioning him as a potential option for the club's Bundesliga opener.
Continues individual work
Klostermann (groin) continues to work individually as he recovers from his lingering issue, the club announced.
Analysis: Klostermann has dealt with recurring groin trouble dating back to the start of month, and what looked like progress when he rejoined team training was short-lived once the same issue resurfaced and pulled him back out. He is currently working alone, a clear indication that Leipzig are being more careful this time after the earlier setback. With the problem having flared up twice now, the club will likely want to see him progress through individual work and handle a return to group training without recurrence before trusting him back with the full squad.
