Returns to squad
Mayoral is included in Getafe's squad for Sunday's match against Malaga after missing the previous game with knee inflammation.
Analysis: Mayoral returns to the squad after knee inflammation kept him out of Getafe's previous match and left his availability uncertain during the week. His inclusion indicates the issue has improved sufficiently for him to be an option Sunday, though his recent lack of minutes could limit his involvement. The forward has played just five minutes off the bench across Getafe's first five LaLiga matches, so he is unlikely to immediately challenge for a starting role.
Doubt continues with knee inflammation
Mayoral was ruled out of the last game due to knee inflammation and remains a doubt for Sunday's clash against Malaga, according to coach Jose Bordalas. "Borja has a knee inflammation and we have to see in the coming hours if he can return."
Analysis: Mayoral's continued absence from full training keeps his availability uncertain heading into this match, and his recovery timeline will be worth monitoring as Getafe approaches kickoff. Mayoral has played only five minutes off bench in the first five La Liga games, therefore his potential absence will not impact the starting XI.
