Gyabi has a detached adductor and could be out a minimum of three months, according to Mike White of Humberside Sport.
Analysis: Gyabi is eyeing a potential absence for a decent chunk of the season, as the midfielder is dealing with a detached adductor. He has been working with a specialist to work on the issue and hopes to make the potential absence less, although it doesn't appear to be good at the moment. He dealt with injuries last season and was a rotational piece, so this would be a loss of depth for the club, recording two goals in 20 appearances (six starts) last campaign.
Managing hamstring knock
Gyabi (knock) trained Tuesday morning but was not risked in the win over Rizespor after picking up a knock behind his knee in Saturday's match, according to assistant coach Dean Holden, per Hull Live. "He got a knock right in the bottom of his hamstring behind his knee, and he was a little bit sore for 24 hours. Darko, being Darko, wanted to give it a go tonight, but as I say, the staff just made the decision that it was best for him to still get a real physical workout"
Analysis: Gyabi's energy and range in midfield make him an important option once fully available, and he is expected to be in contention for Saturday's match against Kasimpasa. The club took a cautious approach given the soreness that lingered following the initial knock. He is expected to continue building toward full match involvement as preseason progresses.
