Begins individual field work
Gyabi (groin) has started individual training on the pitch as he continues his recovery from surgery, according to coach Sergej Jakirovic, per Hull Live. "Gyabi has started to do individual sessions on the grass but he is still far away. His prediction is November I think. We will see because he is not registered in the 25. He needs to wait to January and then we will see after his recovery, maybe we will loan him, maybe he will stay with us. Depends."
Analysis: Gyabi has taken another step in his recovery from the groin injury suffered during preseason, though manager Sergej Jakirovic indicated the midfielder remains some distance from a return and is targeting November. Gyabi remains outside Hull's registered squad and therefore cannot feature before January even if he completes his recovery earlier. His longer-term role also remains uncertain, with Jakirovic indicating that a loan move could be considered once the midfielder is fully fit.
Could be out at least three months
Gyabi has a detached adductor and could be out a minimum of three months, according to Mike White of Humberside Sport.
Analysis: Gyabi is eyeing a potential absence for a decent chunk of the season, as the midfielder is dealing with a detached adductor. He has been working with a specialist to work on the issue and hopes to make the potential absence less, although it doesn't appear to be good at the moment. He dealt with injuries last season and was a rotational piece, so this would be a loss of depth for the club, recording two goals in 20 appearances (six starts) last campaign.
