Out until international break

Dasilva tweaked his hamstring while playing for the U21s on Monday and will be out until the international break, according to coach Keith Andrews. "That'll knock Josh out until the international break. It's nothing too serious, but it's obviously disappointing for him as he's making his way back to that type of level, intensity and the performance levels he needs to get to. That takes a little bit of time from where he's been and the time out he's had. It's disappointing for him, we're disappointed, but we'll keep going and keep pushing Josh to get back to that level."

Analysis: Dasilva had gone down without contact before being forced off in that U21 match, a concerning moment given his lengthy injury history, though this timeline of roughly a month before the international break gives a clearer picture of what to expect. His path back to full training will continue to be monitored as he works toward that return, only playing two games since the 2023/24 season due to knee surgery.

Forced off with injury

Dasilva (undisclosed) was forced off before the half-hour mark during Brentford U21s' 5-1 win over Sunderland U21s after going down without contact, according to Jon Harland.

Analysis: Dasilva's latest setback is concerning given his lengthy injury history, particularly as he went down without contact before being forced off. There was at least some encouragement in the midfielder being able to walk off the pitch, though he appeared dejected as he left. The nature and severity of the issue remain unclear, with further assessment likely needed to determine whether Dasilva faces another spell on the sidelines.
